This is a blog about my life as a photographer. Just what's going on with me and my work.

Hi everyone! Tomorrow there will be only two weeks left to donate! Tommy and I walk for NAMI on September 21 at 3pm. As many of you may know my husband, Tommy, and I participate in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) walk every year in support of their great cause. For those of you who donated last year I would like to thank you again and ask that you do so this year as well. To those who have not donated yet, please take the time out to visit NAMI's site and think about friends, family, and colleagues who may be affected by mental illness. Thank you to those of you who have already donated to this year's walk. Even though the walk is listed under Tommy's name, I am participating as well.
Thank you again for your time and I look forward to answering any questions you may have!

Magic is in the air when the ordinary slips into the realm of the mythic. That's what I try to do with my photography.

I decided to pay the extra money to upgrade my domain name to elizabethcaudy.com after all. So, now I sort of have two mirror web sites... elizabethcaudy.webs.com and elizabethcaudy.com. I'm also getting new business cards.
I think I'm ready to have two exhibitions this year instead of just one (the "just one" being the annual St. Francis Xavier Art Guild Show.) So, when I get my business cards, I am going to make CDs and distribute them to two galleries on the North Shore. One of them I've exhibited at before. If I'm feeling especially ambitious, I'll make CDs of my really conventionally attractive work and pass it out to local restaurants. But I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

Just so you know, I've upgraded to premium but it turns out I didn't have to change my domain name. That's good, because a lot of my colleagues are linked up to this domain name.
I saw an interesting movie last night called The Debt. There was a quote in it that stuck with me: "Truth is a luxury." And it got me thinking, do any of us have the luxury of real truth, of truth to ourselves, or to be truly free? As they would say in the '60's, heavy, huh?

To be more precise, it's the St. Francis Xavier Parish bulletin. I wish I could share with you the pictures that are going to be published, but I really can't do any more uploading of pictures until I upgrade this site, which will happen at the beginning of February. If all goes as planned, it will then be called elizabethcaudy.com. I'll send out an email blast after it's all paid for and set. I'll have to get new business cards then, too. Oy.

Two of my good friends are in a band called Partners in Stars, and I had the honor of photographing their live performance at Reggie's here in Chicago last summer. The pictures I took are now on their web site... check 'em out! Happy Holidays, everyone!

I have a poem in Issue 3 and in Issue 4 of Clementine Cannibal's riot grrrl compilation zine "I Knew a Motherfucker Like You and She Said...," and I'm happy to announce that both issues are now available for sale on her web site, clementinecannibal.com, for only $3 each!
