I decided to pay the extra money to upgrade my domain name to elizabethcaudy.com after all. So, now I sort of have two mirror web sites... elizabethcaudy.webs.com and elizabethcaudy.com. I'm also getting new business cards.
I think I'm ready to have two exhibitions this year instead of just one (the "just one" being the annual St. Francis Xavier Art Guild Show.) So, when I get my business cards, I am going to make CDs and distribute them to two galleries on the North Shore. One of them I've exhibited at before. If I'm feeling especially ambitious, I'll make CDs of my really conventionally attractive work and pass it out to local restaurants. But I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

To be more precise, it's the St. Francis Xavier Parish bulletin. I wish I could share with you the pictures that are going to be published, but I really can't do any more uploading of pictures until I upgrade this site, which will happen at the beginning of February. If all goes as planned, it will then be called elizabethcaudy.com. I'll send out an email blast after it's all paid for and set. I'll have to get new business cards then, too. Oy.

Two of my good friends are in a band called Partners in Stars, and I had the honor of photographing their live performance at Reggie's here in Chicago last summer. The pictures I took are now on their web site... check 'em out! Happy Holidays, everyone!

I have a poem in Issue 3 and in Issue 4 of Clementine Cannibal's riot grrrl compilation zine "I Knew a Motherfucker Like You and She Said...," and I'm happy to announce that both issues are now available for sale on her web site, clementinecannibal.com, for only $3 each!

It's that time again... October is Art Awareness Month in Wilmette and my church, St. Francis Xavier Parish, is having it's annual Art Fair on Sunday, October 24. In the Door County series in the photo gallery on this site, I have an image of Tommy sleeping which I might submit, and I got the first roll of Holga pictures back last week and I think it would be just fabulous if I had a wet lab black and white printing day with Holga negatives so I could show old-fashioned, darkroom chemistry prints at the art fair. I have a few rolls from the Holga from March, and I never processed them so I finally broke down and brought them somewhere to be processed, but in the interest of not plunking down a whole lot of money all at once I'm getting one roll processed a week. So that's why I only have one set of negatives back as of now. But just because I don't like developing film doesn't mean I don't like printing in a wet lab! It is time consuming, though, and my digital prints from the Holga negatives look really good. However, I'm sure that in between now and when I'd have to get the prints framed I could find a day to spend in the darkroom. Anyway, I have the images up on facebook, so if you're a friend of mine on facebook you can look at them... and while you're on facebook, don't forget to "like" my page Elizabeth Caudy Photography (yes, I will upload the Holga images to that page as soon as I can.)
